The students Abby, Jez and Lewis share a flat in an English university town. One night, when they come home from a party in high spirits, they continue celebrating. They then get an unexpected visit by Detective Teena Whitsom. At first, they think it’s a complaint about making too much noise, but she is there for a more serious matter. The almost lifeless body of a young woman has been found on the university campus. Her identity is not known. All she had on her was a suicide note signed with a username. The highly determined Detective Whitsom is keen to question the three students in turn to find out what happened. At first, each of them strongly denies knowing the girl. However, a longer look at the photo of the victim finally awakes memories that place Abby, Jez and Lewis in an unfavourable light. In the course of the play, it turns out that they have each contributed their share in the girl’s decline …
After having read the play and talked about the question of guilt in the English lessons, the students of 7a, 7b, 7c, 8a, 8b and 8c had the opportunity to watch a highly entertaining but also thought-provoking performance by native speakers. Thanks to several volunteers from 8b, who unloaded the van and carried the stage props upstairs, the actors were supported with their preparations J. While doing that, the helpful gentlemen could practice their English skills by chatting with the friendly actors. At the end of the play students had the chance to take pictures with the cast and ask questions. (Thank you to the ladies from 7c, who posed for a picture, and to our photographer.)
A round of applause for the actors of Vienna’s English Theatre … What a great performance!
